We might selfishly want to position our organizations as the answer to missions and thus validate, in our thinking, our usefulness to God’s work. There is a fine line between providing a biblical basis for our ministry goals and methods and selling ourselves to get support quickly.
What is crucial to keep in mind is that we are incidental to this ministry.
It’s not “our ministry,” but rather the Lord’s work, of which we are one small part. Our goal then must be to share a vision of what God is doing through missionary Bible translation work and how churches need to be involved. Any personal partnerships come secondary.
God’s Word is the ideal missionary and as such, getting God’s Word into heart languages of all people is the vision we want to impress upon churches.
We believe the Lord will provide the mutual ministry partnerships we need and will do so in His timing. We are humbled by the reality that our provision comes from the generosity and kindness of God’s people, and we have nothing to offer in return; nothing but a vision, a big picture perspective of the incredible opportunity presented us and the accompanying responsibility to use our resources and efforts to be faithful in this stewardship.
"For of Him, and through Him, and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen" - Rom. 11:36
